In 2009, when many companies were projecting slower growth or even a reduction in force, Nielson Construction management made the bold decision to expand upon its capabilities by purchasing a new, state-of-the-art Concrete Plant. The Nielson Construction Concrete Products Division went into service this spring and has been met with overwhelming support by the community we serve. With a fleet of new concrete trucks, this plant provides one more capability that Nielson Construction brings to the table for its customers.
Bag Mix Explanation
The bag mix is a rating of psi, the harder (more psi), the greater the load on the surfaces. Highway comcrete is a very high bag mix, for durability (and code), warehouses (typically with heavy equipment like forklifts and such) are also very high bag mixes; sidewalks, on the other hand, will almost never get the weight a driveway will so need less psi rating.
